Celebs pretty much all have a ton of money — and one of the biggest things basically anyone can spend money on is a wedding.
To that end, I decided to compile all the most lavish celeb weddings I could find — and also all the celeb weddings that literally happened at courthouses or at home. Here are the most and least lavish celeb weddings!

The wedding, which aired as a special on E!, reportedly cost $10 million. They were married in Montecito with almost 450 guests, who were served a four-course meal prepared by Wolfgang Puck. Earth, Wind and Fire and Robin Thicke performed. Kim wore a Vera Wang ballgown (though she ultimately ended up wearing three different gowns at the event).

Hemsworth and Cyrus got secretly married at the house in Tennessee, with only a few people present, later posting a few intimate photos of the event.

The two were married last-minute at City Hall in San Francisco, using DiMaggio’s basketball-related trip to Japan as their honeymoon. Fans and photographers gathered outside as soon as they learned about the ceremony and caught Marilyn and Joe walking out as husband and wife.

It was so low-key, we don’t even have a photo of it! The wedding only had four guests — two being their children, and the other two being family friends. They were married in a private ceremony in New York.

Around 200 guests attended the lavish festivities in India, with multiple ceremonies (both Christian and Indian) along with three wedding receptions and multiple dresses for Priyanka, two of which took thousands of hours to embroider and create. Their wedding venue was the Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur.

The two secretly wed in Santa Barbara — just days after announcing Paltrow was pregnant — getting their marriage license from the Santa Barbara County courthouse, and had no family members attend.

Middleton wore a custom Alexander McQueen dress and a Cartier tiara, and a second Alexander McQueen dress for the evening festivities at Clarence House. The two were married at Westminster Abbey, then proceeded to Buckingham Palace. Over 2,000 guests were in attendance, including other royals and celebrities such as Elton John. With security costs, the entire wedding reportedly cost $34 million.

The two were married in an extremely private ceremony at Skibo Castle in Scotland. Gwyneth Paltrow served as Madonna’s maid of honor, and she wore a Stella McCartney dress. The wedding reportedly cost £1.5 million, and they apparently rented out every room in the castle.

The two were married in 2012 at the Borgo Egnazia resort in Southern Italy in an event that reportedly cost $6.5 million. There were around 100 guests — they arrived first at Frankfurt and then were surprised with a trip to Italy for the ceremony and days of festivities. Biel wore a pink custom-made Giambattista Valli Haute Couture gown while Timberlake wore a custom Tom Ford tuxedo. Timberlake serenaded Biel as she walked down the aisle with a song he’d written just for her.

The two were married in 2015 at their home in Bel-Air in front of just their close friends and family. In fact, they told guests they were attending a birthday party for Theroux, then turned it into a wedding ceremony, which reportedly felt more like a “warm house party.” However, Sia did perform “Chandelier,” so it was a little more extravagant than your average at-home wedding.

Nene and Gregg, who had previously been married and divorced, remarried in 2013 in a $1.8 million wedding that was filmed for Bravo. Nene wore a $50,000 Baracci dress for the ceremony and a $20,000 Pnina Tornai dress for the reception, which was Old Hollywood-themed and served a custom 10-tier cake for the roughly 400 guests in attendance.

Meals on Wheels actually announced the couple’s 2020 wedding, saying the couple had requested people to donate to them to celebrate them. The wedding is rumored to have taken place at their New York home and been very intimate and small, due in part to the COVID pandemic.

The two wed in 2006 at Odescalchi Castle in Italy. The two reportedly spent £100,000 on just Chrome Hearts sunglasses as gifts for their guests, which included celebs like Victoria Beckham and Jennifer Lopez (who ended up performing one of her songs), and hired a fleet of limousines to transport them. The entire celebration reportedly cost them $3 million. Like Kim and Kanye, they paid for Andrea Bocelli to perform. Holmes wore two Giorgio Armani dresses for the wedding, with Tom and their entire wedding party also outfitted in Armani.

The two celebrated their wedding over a weekend in Venice in front of 100 guests, including stars like Matt Damon and Emily Blunt. The ceremony was officiated by former Rome Mayor Walter Veltroni. Amal wore a Oscar de la Renta wedding dress and an Oscar de la Renta dress for the reception, which served guests a five-course meal and 250 bottles of champagne, and went until 5 a.m. The two then had a civil ceremony, for which Amal wore a custom-made Stella McCartney pantsuit. The entire wedding cost $4.6 million.
