One wedding wasn’t enough for this power couple. Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas tied the knot in two ceremonies in December 2018, just several months after news of their engagement in July.
Per People, the duo hosted two weddings in India in December: the first, a Western wedding at the Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, the second, a Hindu ceremony at the same venue the next day, per another People article. Leading up to the Hindu ceremony, the couple participated in various traditions, wore traditional garments, and more. During the Western wedding, Chopra walked down the aisle in a traditionally white Ralph Lauren wedding dress to a string quartet, while Jonas wore a traditional tuxedo. “I love that our wedding was a religious mash-up,” Chopra told the outlet, adding, “We took beautiful traditions that we both grew up with and personalized them in a way that made sense for us.”
The wedding weekend in India featured over 200 guests, including Jonas’ famous brothers, Joe and Kevin, alongside their significant others, actress Sophie Turner and Danielle Jonas, respectively. Following their Hindu ceremony, the two participated in a bridal ritual called Bidaai, a blessing onto Chopra and her new husband.
