A Fairytale Garden Wedding With Whimsical Blooms In The Bay Area ⋆ Ruffled

With pastel blooms, off-the-shoulder bride + bridesmaid fashion and a courtyard ceremony enveloped by a fresh canopied colonnade, this fairytale garden wedding has all the makings of a classic. Adrienne and Ryan enlisted the help of Lindsay Lauren Events to plan their Bay Area celebration, and from the refined wooden furniture to the silvery pearlized linens, we’d say the decision was a good one! Sarah’s Garden Design floralized the expansive spaces with artistic + verdant blooms that made both the courtyard ceremony and ballroom dinner feel even more intimate. Personally, we’re celebrating the fact that Corinna Rose Photo was their to capture the day! It simply doesn’t get better than her organic, yet composed approach to turning these happily carefree moments into everlasting heirlooms.

How did you decide on your venue?

Even though we visited other beautiful venues prior, I fell in love with The Club at Ruby Hill’s grand staircase and the chandelier that hangs above the reception area.

What was your inspiration for your wedding style?

I always wanted a fairytale wedding with a whimsical feel. Putting more of the budget into overflowing garden florals and decor really made the day come to life in the way I had imagined.

What was your inspiration for the colors you picked out?

Ryan liked pastel colors, and from there, I thought pastel pink and mint looked very good together. Unknowingly, I may have been influenced by a crocheted pink and mint T-rex a friend made me years before I met Ryan. I also got a lot of inspiration from Pinterest. Instead of the traditional one color for bridesmaids, I saw photos of bridesmaids wearing 3 different colors. I loved the combination so much I had my own bridesmaids wear mint, champagne, or pink.

How did you make the day feel personal to you & Ryan?

Ryan and I first met while drinking some boba together, so I knew we should have boba to celebrate with friends and family. We even included our wedding favors (metal boba straws) into the theme. Also, being a crazy cat couple, we wanted our cats to be a part of our special day. We had talented friends draw and crochet our cats in wedding attire. Our cats’ images can be seen on our signs, favors, and sweetheart table.

Anything else you’d like to mention about your wedding day such a favorites parts or favorite elements?

Florals were the main decor for our wedding. Sheela from Sarah’s Garden did such an amazing job creating a fairytale garden for our ceremony and reception. Corinna, our photographer, did a fantastic job capturing the light and whimsy feel of the day. Also, being able to celebrate with family and friends after postponing for over a year, was one of our favorite parts. We wanted everyone to have fun and enjoy themselves because we certainly did!
