Anthony Davis Posts A Lovely Message For His Wedding Anniversary: “1 Year Down And Forever To Go.”

Anthony Davis has not been at the center of a lot of positive media attention for a while. The Los Angeles Lakers star has been struggling with injuries throughout the last 2 seasons, and it has taken a toll on how he is perceived. Once being compared with the likes of Giannis Antetokounmpo to be considered the most dominant player in the game at the moment, AD’s stock has fallen quite a bit in the last couple of seasons.

This has also coincided with a slump in form for the Lakers in general. The highs of the 2020 championship have already been forgotten after a first-round exit and a failure to even make the play-in tournament. As such, while people may understand that Davis cannot help his injuries, he has still been an object of frustration for the Lakers faithful. And considering that they parted with their young core for him, his lack of availability is starting to rankle the team’s passionate fanbase.

However, basketball is just a facet of any individual’s life, and the offseason brings time for players and stars to kick back and focus on themselves. AD has been putting in work to get back to his best, but he is also spending some time with his family, and he made a wholesome post for his wife recently.

Anthony Davis Shared A Nice Message On Instagram On The Occasion Of His Wedding Anniversary

AD married Marlen P. in 2021, an event that was attended by a lot of Lakers. LeBron James, Russell Westbrook, and Jared Dudley were all in attendance, suiting up for the joyous occasion. And now, on the anniversary of the special day, Davis put up an Instagram post about it.

“1 year down and forever to go! Happy Anniversary! Love you.”

Davis is not the most vocal of stars and is quite private about his personal life, so it’s nice to see him share a message for his wife on social media. The NBA’s cycle will always carry on, and a lot is expected from the stars in this league, but it is lovely to see that AD is also quite focused on what matters the most.

He has a daunting task when the new season begins, with Kevin Garnett suggesting that he should be trying to win the MVP award. AD will likely be focused on being able to stay healthy and get the Lakers back to winning ways. And considering that things appear to be well with his family, Davis will sure be fully focused on that.
