Star Australian cricketer Glenn Maxwell has tied the wedding knot with his longtime girlfriend and fiancé Vini Raman in a private ceremony on Friday ahead of the start of the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League.
The 33-year-old all-rounder, who will play for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the upcoming IPL season, shared an Instagram story with his Indian-origin wife, Vini Raman, in which the couple were seen holding hands with rings in their fingers.
“Love is a search for completion and with you I feel complete 18.3.22,” the cricketer’s wife captioned the photo. She also used the heart, bride, and groom emojis to confirm that they had indeed taken the next step in their relationship.

And later, in a post on Instagram, she posted a picture with her now-husband, Maxwell, in which the couple was seen kissing each other and captioned it, ‘Mr and Mrs Maxwell | 18.03.22.’
Soon after the picture was posted, many cricketers, which included the likes of Australian white ball skipper Aaron Finch, Maxwell’s former RCB teammate and Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal, wished the newlywed couple and showered their blessings.
Maxwell’s IPL team, Royal Challengers Bangalore, also took to Twitter to wish the couple well as they enter the next phase of their relationship. ‘The RCB family is incredibly happy for @vini_raman and @Gmaxi_32 on the beginning of this new chapter in their lives. Wishing you both all the happiness and peace, Maxi!’ the franchise captioned the post with a picture of the newlyweds.

Maxwell and Vini, who is a pharmacist based in Melbourne and belongs to a Tamil family, have been together for more than five years now and got engaged in February 2020.
The news of Maxwell getting married first caught attention last month when a picture of their wedding card went viral on the internet. The netizens were blown away by the invitation, which was entirely written in Tamil.

Maxwell is an integral part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore team, which will play under new captain Faf du Plessis in the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League this year after Virat Kohli decided to leave the role at the end of last year’s tournament.
