Kay and John Beatty
John and Kay Beatty of Seymour plan to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on the beach with their kids and grandkids.
John Beatty and the former Kay Ude were married Aug. 5, 1972, by the Rev. Ottis Sauls at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Seymour.
He has been with Beatty Insurance for 50 years, while she is retired after working for Cummins Engine Co., being a stay-at-home mom and working as secretary for Beatty Insurance.
The couple have three children, Bart (Holly) Beatty, Bridget (Jason) Longmeier and Brooke Newgent, and seven grandchildren.
