Ben Higgins Reveals Which Franchise Alums Will Be At His Wedding

Former Bachelor lead Ben Higgins reveals which franchise alums will be attending his wedding to Jessica Clarke. Ben led season 20 of The Bachelor.

Former Bachelor lead Ben Higgins is letting fans know which franchise alums are attending his upcoming wedding. Ben first competed on Kaitlyn Bristowe’s season before leading his own. Although he didn’t end up with Lauren Bushnell, who he proposed to at the end of his season, he’s now marrying Jessica Clarke. Ben and Jessica announced they were dating in February 2019 after he slid into her DM’s on Thanksgiving. After about a year together, the couple got engaged. Jessica is a co-owner of a couple of gyms and is studying to be an aesthetician.

Former franchise host Chris Harrison even congratulated the couple on their engagement after it happened. Before Chris left the show due to racially insensitive comments he made, he was the longtime host across all spin-offs. He was there for both Ben’s journey on Kaitlyn’s season and the season that Ben was The Bachelor. Chris posted an Instagram photo of himself FaceTiming Ben and Jessica after their engagement. Chris’ now-fiancée, entertainment reporter Lauren Zima, was also there. It seems like Ben stayed close with the former host after his time on the show since Chris took the time to congratulate him on his engagement.

Ben listed off a lot of former Bachelor stars that will be attending his upcoming nuptials. “I’m going to miss people. I know it because I always do,” Ben told Us Weekly before listing some of the famous attendees. His Almost Famous podcast host Ashley Iaconetti and her husband, Jared Haibon, will be there, along with former Bachelorette lead Becca Kufrin and her new beau, Thomas Jacobs. Dean Unglert and Caelynn Miller-Keyes will be in attendance, along with Becca’s ex, Blake Horstmann, Becca Tilley, who was on Chris Soules’s season, Chase McNary and Elyse Dehlbom. “Wells Adams is an usher in my wedding. He’s the only Bachelor alum that’s an usher,” Ben said. Nick Viall is also set to attend, along with Chris Soules and Shawn Booth.

The Bachelor Ben Higgins and girlfriend Jessica Clarke

Ben said, “Unfortunately, Kaitlyn Bristowe’s on tour right now for her podcast so her and Jason [Tartick] can’t be there.” He added, “There’s a lot of people that, you know, Jared, myself, Shawn, so she would have had, like, a reunion,” he continued, referring to the fact that the three were on Kaitlyn’s season, and Kaitlyn was engaged to Shawn. Ben also mentioned that Becca and Blake have talked to each other since their time on the franchise together. Chris and Lauren were invited, but won’t be able to attend the wedding. “Chris has had a huge impact in my life [and] always will be a friend of mine. They, unfortunately, cannot make it to the wedding. I wish they could, but we’ve kept in contact,” Ben said.

It’s great to see Ben happy with his fiancée after his journey for love on The Bachelor didn’t pan out. There’s a lot of crossover with who dated who in Bachelor Nation because of the nature of the show, but it’s nice to see that a lot of them are still good friends. Hopefully, fans will get to see more Bachelor reunions and weddings in the future.
