Need a venue for a wedding, approved reception, or family gathering? The Greenville-Butler County Public Library’s Camellia Pavilion is an excellent outdoor facility available for rent! The pavilion opened in June 2011 and was dedicated in memory of a longtime library advocate. The venue features air-conditioned bathrooms and a warming kitchen and is situated on spacious, beautiful grounds. For weddings and receptions, the pricing is a flat $500-weekend flat rental fee.
Arkansas – Arkansas Inland Maritime Museum, Little Rock
If you are looking for a unique waterfront venue, consider the Arkansas Inland Maritime Museum on the gorgeous Arkansas River. The AIMM is home to the submarine USS Razorback (SS-394), a veteran of World War II, the Vietnam War, and the Cold War, and the historic tugboat USS Hoga (YT-146) and the Savannah Lou barge. Delaware – University and Whist Club/Tilton Mansion and Carriage House, Wilmington
The Tilton Mansion was originally home to Dr. James Tilton. Tilton was a famous Delaware citizen known for crossing the Delaware River with George Washington and for being the first U.S. Army Surgeon General. Kentucky – Lost River Cave, Bowling Green
If couples have ever imagined exchanging their vows underneath a canopy of trees while surrounded by nature, then Lost River Cave in Bowling Green is the wedding venue of dreams. Guests will be wonder-struck as they make their way to the reception at the Historic Cavern Nite Club in one of the largest cave entrances in the United States. Louisiana – Jackson Square, New Orleans
Jackson Square in New Orleans is one of the most iconic public parks in the city. Imagine being about to have your ceremony inside the square with the beautiful architecture as your backdrop. Known as one of New Orleans’ most recognizable landmarks, Jackson Square is a National Historic Landmark nestled in the center of the French Quarter.
The 2.5-acre space welcomes over 2 million visitors and locals each year and hosts a number of city events and celebrations, weddings, and photography sessions. The landmark earns its name for the bronze statue of Andrew Jackson located in the center of the square. Maryland – Gambrill State Park’s Tea Room, Frederick
The Tea Room has been a popular feature of Gambrill State Park in Frederick for over 75 years. Constructed from native stone, the building was built by the CCC in the mid-1930’s. It was originally designed by the Civilian Conservation Corps for community events and gatherings. Today, the building continues this tradition as one of the area’s most popular locations for weddings, family reunions, business meetings, and other special events.
The Tea Room provides users with a kitchen, dining room, and two restrooms. The building is available for rent from April through October for around $228 on weekends, and can accommodate up to 55 people – with standing room only, or can seat 36 comfortably at 5 round tables. The view from the stone balcony of the Middletown valley and Catoctin Mountains is one of the most photographed in the park.
Maine – Sohier Park, Nubble Light Lighthouse, York
Our list of the best affordable wedding venues would be incomplete without some unique landmarks! If you have wanted to exchange your vows in a small intimate setting next to a lighthouse for FREE then Soheir Park and the Nubble Light is just the spot. Sohier Park is a public park and there is no fee to use the facility. Large weddings are not allowed. The park can be extremely busy year-round and you are not allowed to reserve or block off any parking spaces or areas of the park. There are several restrictions so check the website. But the lighthouse which has was constructed in 1879 still stands tall and beautiful as a gorgeous backdrop for your microwedding or minimony!
Michigan – Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation, Dearborn
Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation is 12 acres under a single roof-filled with awe-inspiring collections and experiences, providing a one-of-a-kind backdrop for your wedding reception. New York – Conservatory Garden Central Park, New York City
If you’re looking for the best affordable wedding venues in New York, you might not expect to find one in New York City! Conservatory Garden, at Fifth Avenue and 105th Street, is a popular venue for wedding ceremonies and photo sessions. The six-acre Garden is made up of three smaller gardens, each with its own particular charm. Extensive displays of flowers, shrubs, and trees are in bloom from early spring through late October.
Ceremonies and photography sessions at Conservatory Garden require permits from the Conservancy. The permit fee is around $400 and an additional $100 for photography. A peaceful, grassy setting surrounded by stately conifers and fringed with white-blooming shrubs like snowberry and ocean spray, the Wedding Meadow offers a bucolic retreat near the city. The Wedding Meadow is located at the junction of the Spruce and Fir Trails about ¼-mile from the Visitor Center. Half-day rentals cost $285 with a 100-person capacity.
Pennsylvania – The German Society of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia
The German Society of Pennsylvania has several large and unique historic spaces available to rent for private functions such as weddings, corporate events, and for photography, film, or video. The building exists in two parts. The first part is a historic 1830s townhouse purchased by the Society for offices and classrooms in 1887. The second, which is connected to the first, is a Hall and Library built in 1888 on Spring Garden Street. The German Society is a building with character and historical significance. In addition to it being a unique place to have your event, the income generated from your rental is used to help us (a nonprofit organization) fund our mission. Texas – The Neill-Cochran House Museum, Austin
The Neill-Cochran House Museum historic site is home to one of Austin’s oldest residences and to the only slave quarters still standing in the city. Vermont – Kill Kare, Rocky Point House, St. Albans Bay
The Rocky Point House is considered to be historically significant to not only the community of Saint Albans but to the citizens of the entire state of Vermont. The stately architecture of the finished project closely resembles the original lakeside hotel as it stood in the late 1800s. The Rocky Point House architecture exudes a feeling of class, elegance, and distinction; patrons of this establishment who sought the recreational enjoyment of Lake Champlain would have expected this level of sophistication. The function room, the surrounding southeast lawn, and the open-air pavilion can be rented together and can accommodate up to 300 people. The combined area is great for larger gatherings like weddings and receptions. The cost is $1,200 a day plus the reservation fee.

Wyoming – Trail End Historic Site, Sheridan
The Trail End State Historic Site is a property of the State Parks, Historic Sites & Trails Division of the Wyoming Department of State Parks & Cultural Resources. From its authentically furnished rooms to its finely manicured lawns, Trail End displays an elegantly different aspect of Wyoming’s rich and colorful history.
Constructed in the Flemish Revival style, the 13,748 square foot mansion known as Trail End provides an intriguing glimpse into life during the period 1913 to 1933, primarily as seen through the eyes of the John B. Kendrick family. It’s a beautiful estate that can accommodate small or larger groups. For groups over twenty or more, the cost is $200.
