In speaking with industry professionals, it’s evident that the high volume of weddings that took place in 2022 meant many vendors worked overtime and took on more clients than ever before. They also had to figure out how to produce events on-budget while navigating shortages of everything from paper to flowers, shipping delays, and inflation. Wedding planners spent months organizing all the details, curating designs, and managing the logistics; photographers used their creative eyes and innate skills to capture every special moment.
Each year, we receive countless real wedding submissions from talented photographers and planners looking to share their very best work with our readers. By the end of 2022, the team at Brides will have published over 185 of these incredible productions and reviewed thousands more. It’s clear we have been spoiled for choice: Wedding professionals have gone above and beyond this year, and we’ve been fortunate enough to receive submissions that showcase some of the most beautiful, creative wedding events to date.
As this monumental year comes to a close, we’re pleased to present our Best Planners and Best Photographers of 2022. Our editorial team reviewed overall portfolios of professionals in both categories who submitted real weddings or were nominated by colleagues and clients. Narrowing our lists down to just 100 professionals out of the thousands who craft and capture stunning weddings was no easy task, which is a credit to all of the amazing work happening in this industry.
