“Rakul opted for a lehenga from our festive 2022 collection, ‘Ahalya’. This collection is a mélange of old world charm and bold new energy. You’ll find soft floral prints that are accented with the richness of paisleys. The timeless textiles are enhanced with intricate hand embroideries, along with an array of mirror work, colourful beads and gemstones. You’ll see these details in Rakul’s Nasreen lehenga too. In an eye-catching ice blue shade, her paisley print lehenga is crafted using lightweight handwoven Chanderi silk that illustrates vintage florals and geometric borders. The lehenga print was first hand-drawn and painted before being digitally improvised. Thread and mirror work further accentuate the set. The highlight is its sexy blouse, showcasing a sensual plunging neckline and an open-back with doris. To elevate it, we rounded the lehenga off with a matching dupatta,” shares Sana Barreja, elaborating on Singh’s striking ensemble. “Rakul wanted an outfit that was not too heavy but still elaborate enough for the night, for which Sana’s paisley print lehenga fit perfectly,” revealed the actor’s stylist, Anshika Verma.

Luxe in essence and old-world romantic in inspiration, Rakul Singh’s ice blue Sana Barreja lehenga is easy to dress up or down. For Diwali, Rakul Singh ensured the focus was on her lehenga by accessorising with nothing except a choker by Amama and a stack of kadas. With her hair in a straight blowdry, she completed her makeup with soft caramel tones.
