Britney Spears’s Wedding Dress Is Being Designed by Versace

Britney Spears and Sam Asghari may have only just gotten engaged two months ago, but the pop star is already moving full speed ahead on finalizing the details of her big day.

Spears posted a series of images of herself dressed in a semi-sheer pink evening gown on Instagram on Tuesday night, announcing that she’s decided who will get to design her dream wedding dress. “No…this is not my wedding dress bahahah!!!!,” she wrote in the caption. “Donatella Versace is making my dress as we speak….Have a good night folks!!!!”

The relationship between the singer and Versace goes back decades as the designer has been dressing her for music videos and major award shows since the beginning of her career. In May, Donatella shared a throwback shot of her and Spears with their arms around one another at the brand’s 2002 fashion show in Milan. “I’ll never forget when you came and stayed with me Britney, you were and will always be magical!!!!” she captioned the shot.

While she may now have the dress portion of the wedding all figured out, as of last month, the pop star still hadn’t decided where she was going to throw the whole ceremony. She told fans on TikTok, “I don’t know where I’m going to get married. We don’t know if we’re going to get married in Italy, or Greece, Australia, or New York City.”

Spears and Asghari first met on the set of her “Slumber Party” music video in October 2016 where they exchanged numbers. They made their relationship Instagram official a little over a year later on New Year’s Day 2017. In September, after almost five years together, Asghari popped the question with a custom ring designed by Roman Malayev and engraved with his nickname for Spears, “Lioness.” She announced the news of their engagement on Instagram shortly after the proposal, posting a video of herself flaunting her engagement ring in various poses alongside Asghari before planting a kiss on his cheek. “I can’t fucking believe it!!!!!!,” she wrote in the caption followed by a string of ring emojis.
