Carla Abellana Flew To New York To Find Her Wedding Dress

Carla Abellana just uploaded a vlog about finding her wedding dress.

In the vlog, entitled “COUNTDOWN TO THE WEDDING 2 – ‘The Dress,'” the Kapuso star became emotional and wept as she shared how happy she was that she had finally been given permission to fly to New York. Apparently, Carla had sought permission to travel three times before her program manager at GMA granted her request.

“Naiyak ako. Sinabi ko rin sa kanya that I cried when I read her message for the first time.”

“I’m grateful for that and I can finally, confidently say now that yes, I am free to fly, I am finally flying. I’m so happy because it’s true when they say, nabubunutan ng tinik yung dibdib mo, gano’n? Gumaan na yung pakiramdam? Nawala na lahat ng stress, lahat ng iniyak ko, ng ipinagdasal ko, sulit talaga, super thank you. Alam ko parang mababaw. [But] it’s really my dream. So yes, finally, tuloy na siya. Thank you, GMA, for allowing me, finally allowing me to fly.”

In New York City, Carla talked about not being able to find a physical store that carries Badgley Mischka shoes. She and her mom also booked an appointment at Kleinfeld Bridal, an upscale bridal boutique home to the largest selection of wedding dresses in the US. We’re excited to see what she wears on her big day!

Back in the Philippines, Carla shared how she and Tom had to cancel their prenup shoot in Samar, as their lock-in taping for their respective shows To Have And To Hold and The World Between Us was moved earlier.

“Sayang. Super sayang because I’ve never been to Samar. Tom hasn’t been there in a long time. And there are just so, so, so, so, so many beautiful spots there, most especially areas that aren’t frequented by tourists. So sayang because we already met for it, we had plans, we were working on our itinerary.”

“It’s sad but these things happen. Gano’n talaga. At this point, we have to work. We have to prioritize work. So kung maisingit pa, kung makapag-plan pa ng prenup somewhere else, then go, we’ll push for a prenup. If not, then it’s okay. Perhaps we can do a postnup.”

Carla is set to tie the knot with Tom in November. While they announced their engagement in March 2021, the proposal actually happened in October 2020.
