Chrishell Stause admitted that she paid for her $3.3 million Hollywood Hills pad using money from the sale of her wedding ring from ex-husband Justin Hartley.
“When sometimes life gives you lemons, sometimes you’ve gotta add a little vodka,” the “Selling Sunset” star, 40, joked during her appearance on “The Kelly Clarkson Show.”
“I was trying to, you know, make the best out of a situation.”
Clarkson, who’s amid an ongoing high-profile split herself – with ex Brandon Blackstock – approved of the move.
“I mean, what are you supposed to do, keep wearing it? I think that’s amazing,” the “Stronger” singer, 39, told Stause.
“You did something good with the money.”
Stause was married to Hartley, 45, from 2017 to 2021. Following her breakup from the “This Is Us” star, she was briefly linked to “Dancing With the Stars” alum Keo Motsepe and her “Selling Sunset” boss Jason Oppenheim.
The “All My Children” alum admitted to Clarkson that the singer’s music helped her navigate various heartbreaks over the years.
“Your music has gotten me through many a breakup, so thank you for that. You’ve helped all of us,” she said.
The reality star also discussed her “Under Construction: Because Living My Best Life Took a Little Work” book. She told Clarkson that she found it “therapeutic” to discuss her past relationships for the tome.
“I do think that this was just a cathartic situation because so much is said out there, on social media and in the news, and sometimes there’s not a lot of context,” she explained.
“I am healed; there’s no anger there. So it’s nice to kind of give context and tell a story that I know a lot of people have related to.”
While Stause appears to be single at this time, Hartley is a married man once again. He tied the knot for a third time in March 2021, to actress Sofia Pernas.
Page Six exclusively caught up with his new wife on the red carpet for PaleyFest’s “This Is Us” event in Los Angeles last weekend, where she gushed about their first year of marriage and being a stepmom to his “wise” daughter, 17-year-old Isabella.
“She’s so wise. I mean, that girl, she’s got it figured out!” Pernas told us of the teen, whom Hartley shares with his first ex-wife, Lindsay. “She knows exactly what she wants. She has a beautiful, wonderful boyfriend. I don’t want to say too much about it because she’s like ‘Ahh!’ but they’re awesome.”
