Coreena’s Bridal Boutique in Georgetown helps brides say their ‘2ndYes’ to a dream wedding dress

Coreena Ferrata opened her first bridal boutique in College Station in 2018. With unwavering success, she expanded to Georgetown in 2020.

“When I got married in 2015, shopping for my own wedding dress was not a great experience,” Ferrata said.

Because College Station did not have many options, Ferrata drove more than two hours to Dallas and shopped at five different stores.

“I wanted something that didn’t exist,” Ferrata said. “So what started with disappointment eventually turned into opportunity.”

After her wedding, Ferrata started designing dresses. She drew the sketches, collected the fabric, consulted with the bride and then turned it over to her seamstress.

“I was doing this for a while, but it wasn’t taking off fast enough,” Ferrata said. “We recognized the need in [College Station] and decided to pivot.”

After opening in 2018 and expanding the College Station location in 2019, Ferrata was ready to open her second boutique. She toured several metros before a space in Georgetown became available in March 2020.

Ferrata said she handpicks each gown, and the boutiques do not share or duplicate inventory.

“I wanted to make sure that each brand we carry brings something different to the table,” Ferrata said. “Something for everybody.”

Coreena’s Georgetown location carries a variety of styles curated by Badgley Mischka, Randy Fenoli, Hayley Paige, La Perle, Maggie Sottero and several other designers. Dress prices range between $1,500-$6,000.

Ferrata coined the saying “#2ndYes.” The first yes is at the engagement; the second is the dress. In addition to wedding dresses, Coreena’s also carries veils, shoes, jewelry and other bridal accessories.

Aside from runways, trunk shows and other behind-the-scenes work, Ferrata said she tries to interact with every bride that comes in.

“I love picking dresses for people and matching their veils, … so I try my best to set aside time to allow for that experience,” Ferrata said.
