Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street’s Tyrone Dobbs suffers a setback with his Christmas wedding plans next week.
Show bosses have announced that Tyrone will be taking centre stage over the festive period, as he plots to spring a surprise wedding on Fiz Stape on Christmas Day.
This week’s episodes see Tyrone leave Fiz delighted when he unexpectedly pops the question.
When Fiz later complains about the inevitable stress of wedding planning, Tyrone decides to make things easier by secretly setting the date for December 25 and making the preparations himself.

As the story continues next week, Tyrone confides in his friends Kevin and Abi Webster about his plans.
Tyrone also proudly shows off the dress that he chose with help from Gemma Winter.
Abi brands the gown “hideous” and predicts that Fiz will hate it. It dawns on Tyrone that preparing the perfect ceremony for Fiz won’t be as easy as he’d thought.

Fortunately, Beth Sutherland is on hand to help, promising to make some alterations to the dress in the hope that Fiz will like it.
Later in the week, Fiz is confused to find Gemma modelling the wedding dress for Beth at the factory.
Fiz puts the pair on the spot by asking them what’s going on.
Could this ruin the element of surprise for Tyrone’s romantic plan?

Corrie bosses have promised that Tyrone and Fiz’s storyline will provide heartwarming scenes over the festive period.
Show producer Iain MacLeod recently told Digital Spy and other media: “A few years ago, we went a little bit Die Hard with Gary, Shona and the funfair. I absolutely loved that. It allowed us to do a thriller-ish conceptual trailer for it, so it was all very exciting.
“But we’re right in our wheelhouse now with this Christmas. It’s got loads of comedy, family fun and warmth. I cried twice in the viewing – and I’m not given to tears! It’s really moving and lovely. It’s not sad, but in a ‘warm your cockles’ way.”
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
