Taking a break from her vibrant stage costumes and casual off-duty outfits, Dua Lipa appeared as one stylish wedding guest at her friend Olive Uniacke’s dreamy nuptials over the Fourth of July weekend. Uniacke, a literary agent who famously worked on “Harry Potter” and happens to be Rosamund Pike’s stepdaughter, wed Dane Ensley in Pimlico, London on July 2, in front of famous guests like Lipa, Nicholas Hoult, Poppy Delevingne, and Bonnie Wright.
Working with stylist Lorenzo Posocco, Lipa donned a lingerie-inspired look almost entirely from Bottega Veneta’s fall 2022 ready-to-wear collection. Her lace slip dress was covered in sparkles and fringe detailing, but the drama didn’t stop there. She added matching lace sequin opera gloves and metallic silver thigh-high boots, completing the outfit with a beaded, futuristic version of the popular Mini Jodie bag. To finish, a pair of giant silver earrings and black rectangular shades from GCDS felt right on theme.
While Lipa’s pale lilac color scheme veers dangerously close to white, the bride actually chose a nontraditional wedding gown in bright fuchsia for her big day. Pike also complemented her stepdaughter’s dress with a similar magenta Alexander McQueen gown of her own.
A few days after the wedding, Lipa was back on the scene, making her Balenciaga runway debut on July 6. The “Future Nostalgia” singer joined Naomi Campbell, Kim Kardashian, and Nicole Kidman walking at the brand’s couture show in Paris, after her first runway appearance for Versace at last September’s spring/summer 2022 presentation.
