EastEnders fans think they might have worked out a major twist in the Christmas flashforward storyline, after spotting what seemed to be Sharon Watts’ (Letitia Dean) wedding dress on Tuesday evening.
EastEnders teased a shock new Albert Square murder victim in a grisly flash-forward scene on Monday evening.
The sensational twist foreshadowed the death of one character – but their identity is under wraps until Christmas.
BBC One soap fans are already aware that Kat and Phil are set to get married at Christmas this year, but it was instead Sharon wearing a wedding dress in the flashforward scene.
However, EastEnders fans think they may have now worked out why Sharon was donning the idyllic white lace look, after a scene on Tuesday evening saw Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) take delivery of numerous wedding dresses.

Speaking to Eve Unwin ( Heather Peace ) in her house, she explained that Big Mo had sent the dresses, hoping she could store them in her garage for an associate called ‘Shifty Shiv’.
Stacey explained to a sceptical Eve that she was hoping to get help from him in replacing the gear nicked from her van – although likely for a hefty interest fee.
However, BBC One viewers at home were distracted by one wedding dress in particular that Eve held up, which appeared to be identical to the one Sharon had been wearing during the flashforward episode.
Soap fanatics were quick to spot the gown, as one took to Twitter to write: “Was that Sharon’s wedding dress Eve just held up there?? Going to spend from now until Xmas looking for clues lol.”

Another fan added a potential theory into the mix, suggesting Sharon may have been modelling the bridalwear instead of wearing it for her own wedding.
One fan wrote: “Ooh maybe Sharon isn’t getting married. Maybe Stacey’s wedding dress selling business takes off and Sharon is a model.
“I’m going to have a theory every episode now so stay tuned!”

EastEnders fans will have to wait until Christmas Day 2023 to find out the identity of the murdered victim, who the murderer was and how it all went down.
