Edward Dragon | Obituary | The Star Beacon

Palm Coast, Florida – Edward Donald Dragon, 74, of Ashtabula, Ohio passed away on July 23, 2022, after a short battle with ALS, Lou Gehrig’s disease.
Ed was born on July 26, 1948, to Paul and Agnes (Barchok) Dragon in Ashtabula, Ohio. After graduating from Edgewood Senior High School, Ed served in the United State Army during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Germany; Ed was honorably discharged in 1970. Ed returned to Ashtabula and worked at Reliance Electric until retirement.
Throughout his entire life, he held an unwavering faith in God and a was dedicated member and served as Eucharistic Minister for St. Andrew Bobola Catholic Church.
On August 9, 1986, Ed married Lucy Cincotta, and they were just shy of celebrating their 36 wedding anniversary in August. Ed had a love for travel with his wife Lucy and those memories are treasures of the heart.
Ed studied many subjects, two main areas of focus: Architectural Design and Real Estate. He was a top producing Real Estate Agent receiving many outstanding honors and awards. Ed was also a very successful entrepreneur and real estate investor. Some of his business ventures include Dragon Car Wash, The Main Scoop, D&L Homes, and most recently, Ed was dedicated to working on an innovative tire recycling project.
Anyone who knew Ed knew that he was the hardest working and most dedicated man, father and husband a family could ask for. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world.
Ed joins his parents Paul and Agnes Dragon, and Nicole Ann Dragon who died in infancy, in Heaven.
He is survived by his wife, Lucy Dragon; three children, Amy (Ben) Falconer, Trisha (Nate) Arthurs, Jimmy Varketta; five grandchildren, Chloe, Coraline, Cayla, Zachary, Zander: siblings, Linda (Richard) McKissock, Elaine (Fred) Dreslinksi, Steve (Pam) Dragon; and Angel his beloved dog.
Ed lived life to the fullest, he has asked that you would remember him with love and laughter, his wish is that you share his memory with those around you. At his visitation and services please smile and remember the good times for there were many!
Funeral Services will be held at 11am Friday, July 29, 2022, at the Zaback Williams Ducro Funeral Home, 500 West Prospect Road, Ashtabula, Ohio,4400. Deacon Richard Johnson officiating.
