Former 90 Day Fiancé star Ella Johnson made jaws drop with her shocking makeover amidst rumors of her getting married. Ella, 29, was introduced to fans on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 5 as a woman in a relationship with a Chinese man called Johnny Zhao who she’d never met in person. Ella, who claimed she was obsessed with “Asian culture,” wanted to find a man who looked like her favorite Anime character. While 34-year-old single dad Johnny may have not fit the bill physically, Ella thought she had hit the jackpot when she found him on a group for “White women and Asian men” online.

Johnny planned on flying to America to stay with Ella on her ranch and experience her farm life. He was going to cook nutritious meals to help Ella lose weight, and get married before moving into a big house. However, Johnny and Ella’s fantasies didn’t become reality due to COVID-19 playing spoilsport. Ella kept pushing for Johnny to travel during the pandemic, but he knew better than to risk his old parents and young son back home by falling sick, or getting hospitalized and using all his savings up. Amidst the long wait, Ella, who craved physical touch for validation, cheated on Johnny with a friend. Johnny still forgave Ella and even asked for her ring size, so he could propose when they met.
By their 90 Day Fiancé Tell-All, Johnny and Ella had still not met, and it was suggested that while they were in a consensual open relationship, Ella had cheated on Johnny again. Johnny didn’t meet Ella by February as promised, but recently, Ella showed off her fresh manicure on Instagram and said that her “wedding nails” were “ready.” Fans wondered if it was Johnny that Ella was getting married to or if she found herself a new man. In her Instagram stories from Saturday, 90 Day Fiancé celeb Ella posted a selfie in which she sported a face full of make-up. For her next story, Ella dolled up even more, by applying dark pink lipstick and putting her purple hair up in a fancy bun.
Ella showed her Instagram followers a glimpse of her blue, halter-neck dress. She added a dainty silver necklace and matching crystal earrings to complete her look. For her next story, Ella showed her full outfit, a long blue gown with a cinched waist and a thigh-high slit. Ella made sure to pose with her leg sticking out, to show off a tattoo on her upper thigh. She held blue, yellow, and white flowers in her hands while squinting in the sun for her photograph. Although the 90 Day Fiancé franchise star may have tried to fool fans into believing that it was her own wedding, it looks like she may have been a bridesmaid instead.
As per their last appearance together on 90 Day Diaries in June, Ella was considering splitting with Johnny because while she really loves him, she was tired of allowing him to let her down so many times. Johnny was unable to quit his job in China to go meet Ella. And by July end, Ella again confirmed that Johnny wasn’t taking any efforts to see her, which is why she doesn’t post about him on Instagram. Meanwhile, Johnny himself has been missing from Instagram, which could suggest this 90 Day Fiancé relationship may have finally died a slow death.
