Emma Watson Turns Heads in A Backless Upcycled Wedding Dress At The Earthshot Prize 2021

Many celebrities made powerful fashion statements on sustainable and garment upcycling at the Earthshot Prize 2021 in London and among them was Emma Watson who made a rare but a remarkable red carpet appearance. Emma Watson wore a fully upcycled wedding dress from Oxfam designed to perfection by Harris Reed. The wedding dress was repurposed into an haute asymmetrical top worn with black trousers with a trailing long hem length on one side. The backless dress with the lace trimmings add an elegant touch and the layered tulle dimension added volume to the look and we’re sure that the dress looked just as fabulous as a wedding dress as it did after it was repurposed. Her short bob was swept to the side and her makeup with glittery eyes and drop earrings to complete the look.

In attendance as well were the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Prince William and Kate Middleton who celebrated sustainability in more ways than one. Kate Middleton, who is known to recycle her outfits since time immemorial to pave a new trend for royal fashion, picked a lilac floor grazing Alexander Mcqueen number which she debuted at the 2011 BAFTA Brits To Watch event. The Duke of Cambridge Prince William too picked a velvet suit he wore in 2019 and if that is not sustainable fashion at its best then what is?
