Emmerdale’s executive producer Jane Hudson has warned Charity (played by Emma Atkins) and Mackenzie’s (Lawrence Robb) wedding will be ‘explosive’.

The soap boss reminded viewers Chloe’s (Jessie Elland) baby – whose father is Mackenzie – is due around the same time and that marriage ceremonies ‘never go smoothly’ on the show.

She told Metro: ‘Weddings never go smoothly, and Chloe’s baby is due around the time of the wedding!

‘I think you can put the pieces together yourself and figure out what might happen around the wedding – it will be explosive for Charity and Mackenzie.’

Mackenzie and Charity were recently offered the chance to tie the knot on Valentine’s Day, however the former prostitute refused to discuss it since she was expecting a wine delivery.

It turned out that she’d been worrying since her past marriages ‘all ended in disaster’.

She told Mack, ‘Chris (Peter Amory) killed himself and set me up for murder. Declan (Jason Merrells) actually tried to kill me. And then there’s Jai (Chris Bisson)!’

Mack spent months lying to Charity and treating Chloe horribly in an effort to prevent Charity from finding out that she is carrying Mackenzie’s child.

Since discovering that she was expecting a baby with one-time fling Mack, Chloe has been keeping the identity of her child’s father a secret, in a bid to avoid the wrath of Charity.

This week, Sarah (Sophia Moore) and Charity took pity on Chloe and offer her a place to stay, leaving Mack nervous that they will be living under the same roof.

He then told Chloe he has paid the deposit on a flat for her, and so he wants her to leave, leaving her furious that she is being pushed away.

Throughout their tense exchange, Chloe and Mack were unaware that Sarah has overheard their entire conversation, including the moment Mack insisted that his expectant flame must move out.

Sarah quickly figured out the truth, and confronted Chloe about what’s been going on, but she hits back and insists she would never hurt a friend’s family like that.

While Chloe reassured Mack that Sarah is no longer suspicious, the teen remained unconvinced.
