GLASGOW brides have the chance to snap up a bargain for their big day with brand new designer frocks on sale at a charity shop.

Generous Bijoux Bridal, based in Hamilton, donated stunning ex-showroom dresses by designers including Phil Collins and Victoria Jane last week.

And there’s plenty of styles on offer, with sizes also ranging from 8-18.

The Oxfam Boutique shop team is now treating brides to the full bridal shop experience, with appointments being held after hours to give them and loved ones exclusive use of the store.

‘We skimped on our wedding to buy a house, we had three guests, my dress cost £20 and we got strangers to take the photos’

Janice Despard, Oxfam Newton Mearns Boutique Shop Manager, said: “It’s been a really difficult time for people planning weddings during the pandemic, but Bijoux bridal’s huge generosity has enabled us to offer a chink of light for people looking for a cut price designer gown.

“Of course, the best thing about buying your wedding dress from Oxfam is that the money raised can help stop the spread of coronavirus in some of the poorest countries in the world through providing people with simple things like access to soap and clean water.

“Just another reason to feel amazing in your dress on your big day!”

Appointments can be made by calling the store on 0141 616 2525.

In other wedding news, this bride wore FIVE wedding dresses – and it’s a minuscule one with bikini bottoms which has really got people talking.

A woman has revealed the incredible moment she discovered a secret note attached to the charity shop wedding dress she had just chosen for her big day.

A shop owner has been hit with a furious backlash after putting a plus-sized mannequin in a wedding dress in the window.

And one bride was left jumping for joy after her best friend created her dream wedding dress in less than 24 hours.
