Grace Loves Lace Launches Their First Ever Eco Bridal Gown and Veil

If there’s anything we’ve learned in recent years, it’s that looking good doesn’t have to come at a cost to the environment. And within the wedding industry, bridalwear has quickly adapted to new ways of sustainable design, construction, and overall eco-sensibility. With this in mind, we’re excited to share that one of our favorite Australian bridal labels, Grace Loves Lace, has officially launched its first eco-friendly bridal gown and veil, both named The Lumi.

What sets Grace Loves Lace apart is the innovation behind their newly created designs—both being highly engineered and taking over two years to develop. The Lumi dress is made from 96% recycled materials, while the veil is crafted from 100% recycled tulle and lace. What’s more, the brand is now recognized by the Global Recycling Standard (GRS) certification for its 21st-century designs.

“As a brand, we never stop looking for ways in which we can do better. We’ve championed Australian ethical manufacturing since day one, so naturally, the next step was to look at how we could innovate with fabrics to be really proud of how we function as a business,” Megan Ziems, founder of Grace Loves Lace exclusively tells Brides. “We were inspired to take resources that would have been otherwise discarded and use modern technology to create a beautiful wedding gown that holds so much meaning.”

Given the precise engineering and construction of the gown’s fabrics, the Lumi was also expertly created to compliment every body type and can be made-to-order for women of all sizes. A truly exceptional dress for brides looking for a size-inclusive, one-of-a-kind wedding day look.

“I am so proud that we could create something that is so special to a woman—and become an heirloom in her family—from materials that would otherwise go to the landfill,” reveals Ziems. “How special is it—making magic from something no one saw potential in.”

For those with style and sustainability in mind, the Lumi gown ($2,300 USD) and veil ($410 USD) will be available on Grace Loves Lace’s website starting July 29. 2021. Trust us, you won’t be disappointed!
