Griffin-McLellan wedding | Boothbay Register

Elizabeth Joan Griffin and Dustin Cameron McLellan were married on July 17, 2022 at the Wilson Memorial Chapel on Ocean Point, Maine.  The Reverend Todd Weir of the Congregational Church of Boothbay Harbor officiated.  After their private ceremony, the couple celebrated with extended family and friends at The Patio at 1578 in South Bristol.  They continued their celebration by sailing the Amalfi Coast of Italy for their honeymoon.

The bride is the younger daughter of Denise and Chip Griffin of Boothbay Harbor. She is the granddaughter of Hannie Corten of Larchmont, New York, and the late Gwendolyn Griffin and the late Dr. Rus Griffin of Boothbay Harbor. The bride holds a B.A. from Bowdoin College and an M.A. in the History of Art and Architecture from Boston University.

The groom is the son of Kim Bartle of Newcastle and Cameron McLellan of Boothbay. He is the grandson of Sandra and the late John Bacon of Bangor, and Barbara and Myron McLellan of Boothbay. The groom holds USCG licenses.

The couple first met when Elizabeth was working at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, managing special exhibitions & gallery renovations, while Dustin worked (and continues to work) on tugboats for Moran Towing in New York. After hitting it off and learning of their Midcoast roots — their paternal grandparents had been friends in Boothbay, after all — Elizabeth eventually moved back home to Maine with Dustin, where she now works at Blackhawk Network. The couple live in Portland with their Bernese Mountain Dog, Kineo.
