Halle Berry appears to have pulled a prank on her followers by pretending she’d married boyfriend Van Hunt.
Plenty of famous faces fell for what seems to be a joke, as the 55 year old posted a photo of the couple standing at the end of the aisle in a church-like building, with the caption “It’s official…”
Halle is seen wearing flowers in her hair and is barefoot in a long dress as she leans in to kiss her 51 year old boyfriend Van.
However, on swiping to the next photo, Halle finishes the sentence with “It’s 2022!” written over a selfie of the couple, revealing they were celebrating the New Year rather than tying the knot.
Halle’s followers were quick to congratulate the couple on their ‘wedding’, with many celebrities seeming to fall for the joke.

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson commented with multiple clapping emojis and wrote: “congrats you two!!! Beautiful!!”
Octavia Spencer joined him, commenting: ‘Congratulations!!!!!’
Naomi Campbell said: “Congratulations @halleberry blessings to your beautiful Union”.
“Arggggghhhhhh!!!!!! Omg so so SO HAPPY for you *tears of joy*,” added Thandi Newton.
‘CONGRATULATIONS QUEEN,’ gushed actress Meagan Good, while director Ava DuVernay wrote: “Blessings, Queen! Wonderfulllll!!!!”

The couple are currently on a luxurious getaway and have been posting photos of their holiday to a tropical paradise over the New Year period.
