High Point Farm Hosts Pick And Sip

High Point Farms is hosting several “Pick and Sip” events in July and August. These events are open to the community and public at large as they “want to share the beauty of their flower gardens.” Guests are allowed to meander the rows of flowers and “pick their own” florals as they create their own one-of-a-kind bouquets. This time of year there is such a bounty of flowers that it is a perfect opportunity to invite flower fans to come for a unique evening at the farm, said owner Margie Gardner.

High Point Farms is located in Chattanooga Valley just south of Flintstone and they are best known as being a wedding venue. What started as a part-time venture in 2011, Ms.

Gardner and her daughter, Jill Baldschun, teamed up to create The Barn at High Point Farms to host weddings on their 70-acre family farm.

She said, “Over the years, the barn has transformed into a top notch event space but also the grounds turned into a wonderland of flower gardens, rows of blueberries and blackberries, raised beds full of herbs and vegetables, and landscaped areas in every corner of the venue. The  weddings embrace the beauty of the land and ambiance of country living.”

High Point Farms is hosting the “Pick and Sip” events each Friday in July plus the last two Fridays in August 6-9 p.m. The price of $20/jar allows the guest to meander the gardens to choose their own flowers to create their own unique bouquets. Visiting with their herd of goats at the fence-line is a popular farm custom too. Sipping drinks, holding a baby goat, and relaxing on an Adirondack chair with stunning views all round-out an amazing evening on the farm, she said.

Payment is either cash or Venmo.

Location is 263 Parrish Lane, Flintstone.
