It was the first Christmas Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck shared since their wedding this summer, and J.Lo was more than happy to share a glimpse of her holiday home with fans on Instagram. The 53-year-old actress was wearing bright blue satin for the season, a knee-length dress with a bow sash at the waist, and white cuffs and collars.
The dress was printed with bright red flowers and bow ties and she wore a bold red lip to match. She had her hair up in an elegant updo, and was wearing statement earrings shaped like white daisies. On her feet were a pair of glittering red Mary Jane heels.
Visible in the pictures was a gorgeous Christmas tree hung generously with silver tinsel, and her fireplace hung with embroidered stockings. In a close-up selfie, she’s standing in front of an elaborately set dining table decorated for Christmas dinner.
“Merry Christmas!!!!” she captioned it.
A source recently told ET that the couple has been having “so much fun getting ready for Christmas.”
“Jen’s favorite holiday is Christmas, so she always goes all out, but this is a really exciting time for them as a couple since it’s their first Christmas as husband and wife,” they continued. “Ben and Jen picked out and decorated a huge tree with the help of their children. Their home feels festive and looks gorgeous with decorations and everything lit up.”
According to the source, J.Lo “wants this year to be even more special than usual and to make new traditions of their own, both as a family and with Ben.”
The couple was reportedly planning to spend the holiday with their kids and Lopez’s family.
For gifts, the inside said that Lopez has “picked out some things for Ben and wants to spoil him.”
“Ben is planning on giving Jen a couple of things that are special and sentimental that have taken him a long time to find,” they continued. “He is also planning on giving her beautiful jewelry and a couple of big things that are surprises.”
They might also end up going on a trip just as newlyweds alone, after a very busy year.
