I re-wear my wedding dress and here’s why I do it, says Virgin Media star Anna Daly

FORMER Ireland AM presenter Anna Daly has revealed she often re-wears her wedding dress saying she “wanted to give it another outing”.

The Virgin Media star got married to her husband Ben Ward in 2008 in a stunning ceremony in Portugal.

Anna’s wedding dress was a gorgeous silk white frock that had a low v-neck and details around the waist.

The presenter revealed that she re-wore the dress to the VIP Style Awards in 2009 and she explained all on RTE’s Today.

Speaking with presenter Blathnaid Treacy on Friday’s show she said: “This is Jenny Packham. It’s stunning – but it needs a good clean actually!

“I had it cleaned after our wedding and then I wore it again to the Style Awards.

“We got married – and people will probably look at that dress and think wow, that’s a slinky number – but we got married in Portugal, and when you get married abroad it gives you license to wear something a bit different, something more evening wear than big fussy wedding dress.

“That’s why I wore it to the style awards, I wanted to give it another outing.”

This comes after Anna recently said she decided to leave Ireland AM as she was “ready to move on”.

Last year Virgin Media had a huge shake-up as they got rid of their show Elaine and they also introduced new presenters on Ireland AM.

Anna left her role on Ireland AM and she got a new job with The Communications Clinic.

The former presenter spoke about her decision to leave the show with The Irish Daily Mail as she explained she didn’t want to turn down opportunities anymore.

She explained: “I was ready to move on myself. I have too many opportunities that I don’t want to keep saying no to.

“It was very much my decision. I think I was ready to manage my own diary and not rule things out because I wouldn’t be allowed to do them.

“I was restricted in Virgin, I couldn’t do everything I wanted to do because you are very much part of Virgin
