What is MatchBook, you ask? Well, it’s a brand new way to discover and book curated and talented event professionals (or as we call them, Pros) for upcoming events – on your date, in your style, and in your price range. We’ve talked to countless couples over the years and have heard one thing over and over… the process of finding and booking amazing vendors for your wedding and events has been super time-consuming and many times downright frustrating. Gone are the days of searching giant vendor directories, only to find vendors aren’t available or don’t match your criteria, and then starting all over again. Let wedding planning be FUN again!
Our unique platform connects seasoned 100-Layer-Cake-approved Pros with Clients seeking their services through a simple, efficient request model. It was designed for both those planning a wedding or event, and the Pros who can bring those celebrations to life. Say you want to hire a wedding planner. Here’s a simple rundown of how you can use MatchBook to make the process easy, inspiring, and fun:

K, so obviously this is a resource we’d love to see you use for your big day. Did we mention MatchBook is free for couples and Clients looking to hire for their event to use? Once a service is booked, the Pro you’ve hired pays a small fee that helps us keep making matches, facilitating bookings, and providing resources to the community. (Event Pros, find more details on that below!) The only fees you’ll pay are those you and your Pros have agreed upon for their services.

Wedding and Event Pros
Likewise for Pros, hi! We’re not leaving you out! In fact this platform is just as much for you. We’re betting that you spend a lot of time responding to emails with requests that end up not being a good fit. With MatchBook, you can see all the info about the job before you start any communication. Your inbox will thank you. It’s free to join (though you will need to be accepted and approved), and there’s no requirement to quote or be booked if you don’t find a job that fits your style and rate. And we take care of payment so you never have to deal with invoicing and collections for jobs booked here.
If a booking is made (hooray!), MatchBook takes 10%, simple as that. This fee allows us to continue to provide this valuable service to our Pros and Clients alike. To sweeten the deal, jobs booked through MatchBook will be featured on 100 Layer Cake’s social channel with over 1 million followers collectively.
