Jenna Compono reveals MTV axed plans for 10-episode wedding special
Nearly two years after viewers last saw her compete on MTV’s The Challenge, three-time finalist Jenna Compono appeared on the Challenge Mania podcast.
During the March 2022 episode, she revealed MTV contacted her and now-husband Zach Nichols about a wedding special, similar to five-time champ CT Tamburello’s 2018 two-week event, The Challenge: CT’s Getting Married. She explained the network approached her and Zach about a 10-episode special featuring other then-engaged couples who have competed, including finalist Tony Raines as well as Jordan Wiseley and Tori Deal.

However, following Tori and Jordan’s split, Jenna noticed talks surrounding the special quieting. The New York native noted she has contacted MTV again about it but claimed they weren’t sure about the next steps due to an understaffing issue and COVID-19.
While Jenna isn’t sure when Tony plans to marry Alyssa Giacone, she pointed out other couples, including Kam Williams and Leroy Garrett, who are expecting their first child, and Derrick Kosinski, who recently got engaged to Nicole Gruman, could join the special if the network went through it.

During Battle of the Exes 2, Jenna, a rookie at the time, met Zach, who already had one win under his belt, and the two quickly fell for each other, starting a romantic relationship after filming.
She returned for Battle of the Bloodlines and Rivals 3 while he took a break from the show, but they remained together. However, the couple split after she discovered he cheated during Rivals 3.
They both competed on Invasion of the Champions together in 2017 and decided to rekindle their romance after the show. The couple moved in with each other and adopted a dog before she returned to the competitive franchise for Total Madness.
During filming, he threatened to end their relationship if she didn’t come home immediately, as he supposedly found messages between her and someone else. However, Jenna and Zach reported they were still together during the reunion, and he later proposed in Dec. 2019.
Zach and Jenna have since married and welcomed their first child
After their engagement, the 29-year-old claimed she likely wouldn’t compete in another season of The Challenge as she wanted to get married and start a family with at least six to eight children.
The couple initially planned to tie the knot in Feb. 2020 but postponed it for a year due to the pandemic-induced global lockdown.
In Feb. 2021, Jenna and Zach announced they were expecting their first child in a photoshoot uploaded to Instagram featuring a sonogram of their baby. In the caption, the New York native explained that the couple decided to “start the next chapter” of their lives instead of following the wedding’s postponement.
After marrying in a private March 2021 ceremony, they welcomed their son, Anthony Joseph Nichols, on Sept. 2, 2021. The Challenge airs on MTV.
