Joe Gorga will be skipping sister Teresa Giudice’s wedding, and appears to have taken to social media to vent his frustration over their family woes.
“BLOOD DOESN’T MAKE YOU FAMILY” the reality star, 42, wrote over a snap of himself with family and friends, including wife and “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Melissa Gorga, who will also be skipping her co-star’s nuptials.
Melissa also posted about loved ones following news of the couple ditching the ceremony, sharing video with her brood along with caption, “God blessed me with an amazing family.”
While Joe’s statement could’ve been his way of saying his friends are more like family in his eyes, sources tell Page Six that The Gorgas’ beef with Giudice, 50, stems from “a very tense ‘Housewives’ finale filmed earlier this week.”
A second insider later confirmed that the finale blowout took place because the bride-to-be had allegedly been pushing a rumor that would “cause drama” within Melissa and Joe’s marriage.
The source added that Joe and Giudice’s fiancé Luis Ruelas, 46, have not been getting along, and that the finale fight was the final straw.
Reps for Joe and Melissa Gorga did not immediately return our request for comment.
Fans may have picked up on the family tension when it was announced back in March that Melissa, 43, would not be one of Giudice’s bridesmaids.
While the boutique owner claimed to be “fine” with her sister-in-law’s decision, husband Joe took issue with his sister leaving his wife out of the bridal party, calling it disrespectful.
“Regardless if she liked my wife or she didn’t like my wife, she’s basically smacking me in the face, and she’s giving me no respect, and she’s making it hard on me,” Joe said during a May episode of the “Melissa Gorga on Display” podcast.
“It’s not about just my wife — it’s basically ‘I don’t care about my brother.’”
Giudice and Ruelas are set to marry Saturday afternoon in New Jersey.
