John Calipari, DeMarcus Cousins make Wildcat reunion at Anthony Davis’ wedding

Following an eight-year stint at Massachusetts and then a nine-year stint at Memphis that ended following the 2008-2009 season, John Calipari found his way to the University of Kentucky.

Within his first few seasons, Calipari was getting big-name recruits to come to Lexington. Anthony Davis was one of them, and he helped the Wildcats win the 2012 National Championship.

Recently, Davis got married, and both Calipari and DeMarcus Cousins were in attendance.

Calipari and Cousins even managed the time to snap a picture together.

There are several reasons for Cousins being at the wedding, although he and Davis never shared the court in Kentucky.

For reference, Cousins was a top-five recruit that was on Calipari’s first team in 2009-2010. Davis came later, the No. 1 recruit from the Class of 2011. He helped the Wildcats win it all two seasons after Cousins’ time in Lexington. They would go on to play together briefly with the New Orleans Pelicans.
