Juanita Vone Smith, 79, of Cottage Grove, Tenn., died Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.
She was a homemaker and a member of Olive Branch United Methodist Church. Juanita enjoyed cooking and taking care of her yard. She loved her flowers and her hummingbirds.
Juanita was born August 29, 1942, in Newbern, Tenn., to the late Hurley D. Mullins and the late Jessie B. Isbell Mullins.
She was married November 30, 1957, to Bobby Alton Smith, who preceded her in death on April 19, 2009.
She is survived by her six children, Ronnie (Teresa) Smith of McKenzie, Tenn., Vicki (Michael) Wedding of Oswego, Illinois, Bobby Wayne Smith of Cottage Grove, Johnny Ray Smith of Henry, Tenn., Lisa (Darryl) Yeargin of Montrose, Iowa, and Johnny Ray Smith, II of Henry; eight grandchildren, Hunter Smith, Amy (Sean) Staffeldt, Ashley Northington, Shirley Forrest, LaReya (Kollin) Wiegand, Kylie (Streeter) McIlravy, Eli and Brianne Smith; and several great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by six brothers and sisters.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242. The body is to be cremated with no services planned per Juanita’s wishes.
