LPGA player double dips with wedding at Arizona course she’s playing in tournament | Golf News and Tour Information

How is this for multi-tasking in your life and job?

Mina Harigae’s start to the domestic portion of the LPGA Tour’s schedule began with an “I do” Saturday at Superstition Mountain Country Club in Gold Canyon, Ariz.—the site of the Drive On Championship that she’ll in starting Thursday. The 33-year-old married her Travis Kreiter at the course they met and both call home.

Harigae and Kreiter posted on Instagram following their wedding, with the couple rocking Jordan shoes in a small and quick ceremony. “I love doing my life with you,” Harigae wrote to Kreiter on her post.

Replying on the post, commentator and former LPGA player Kay Cockerill wrote, “OMG! No wonder you didn’t join us for golf …. more important things to get ready for the next day! Congrats to you both!!”

The couple met playing a $5 birdie game after Harigae became an honorary member at Superstition Mountain. Since then, Kreiter’s been on the bag through the recent highs and lows of her career, from nearly going broke trying to get back on tour to Harigae’s Solheim Cup debut in 2021.

Their honeymoon begins with the first LPGA event at Superstition Mountain since 2007, when Lorena Ochoa won the Safeway International.

In the new LPGA season, Harigae finished T-31 at the HSBC Women’s World Championship and T-49 at the Honda LPGA Thailand. The home event marks a chance for Harigae to jumpstart her second bid to play in the Solheim. She’s outside the bubble right how, sitting 16th in Team USA Solheim points, with the top seven earning an automatic spot.

Harigae and Kreiter’s first week as a married couple provides an opportunity for the ultimate honeymoon celebration: the first victory of her 14-year LPGA career.
