A social media influencer who gatecrashed the filming of a MAFS wedding has leaked the threatening messages he allegedly received from a furious producer.

Josh Fox, a journalist and content producer who runs the popular Instagram account MAFS Funny, exposed the angry messages during a Q&A with fans on Sunday, revealing he’d kept them secret for months but decided to finally ‘go rogue’ when a follower asked whether the show’s producers found him ‘annoying’.

The incident occurred after Fox interrupted the Endemol Shine crew as they tried to film Ollie Skelton stepping into a limousine before his wedding to Tahnee Cook.

Fox said most producers just ‘laugh’ at his antics, but on this occasion a male producer was left seeing red – even though the scene was being filmed on a public footpath.

‘Hey mate, w**ker you are! Crashing shoots and wrecking audio. I know that female producer and you just ruined her shoot,’ the unnamed producer allegedly wrote to Fox via Instagram DMs shortly after the gatecrashing incident.

‘She will have to answer to the execs for your antics. I cannot stand gutless men like you, mate, where you think you can push women around to get what you want,’ he added.

The producer concluded with a thinly veiled threat: ‘I look forward to seeing you on my shoot, mate, but you will not receive a polite response from me, mate.’

Fox then shared the footage he’d captured during the wedding shoot as proof he did not ‘ruin’ anything.

‘It was on a public street, they were not recording any audio, there were five male crew members also there and I ruined nothing,’ Fox wrote.

‘I don’t think the shot was used on the show.’

In Australia it is not illegal to film or take photos of someone on a public street, even if the person is shooting a scene for a television show or movie.

Fox then revealed he’d responded to the ‘flop’ producer, writing: ‘Is it part of your role as a MAFS producer to threaten people? I’m going to do an article on it.’

‘And he unsent the message so fast, blocked me, deactivated his LinkedIn and a few weeks later when I eventually say him, you know what he did? Instantly looked down and walked past me as fast as he could as I stood staring at him with a smile on my face,’ Fox explained.
