‘Temptation Island’ host Mark L. Walberg says he will officiate a wedding for a past couple
During a March 2022 interview with Access, host Mark L. Walberg, 59, acknowledged people who are only looking to get cast on a reality television show so they can become influencers.
He admitted he does believe some couples or singles are there for that reason but admitted he doesn’t care because “it becomes real very quickly,” no matter your intentions. When asked if couples exit the island “stronger,” the host explained his “goal” is that everyone involved in the experience leaves “in a better place” from where they started.

While he wouldn’t refer to the show as “therapeutic,” Walberg noted, “good things can happen.” The Georgia native pointed out that engagements have happened on the show, such as season 3’s Kristen Ramos and Julian Allen.
Walberg revealed that the couple asked him to officiate their upcoming wedding and promised he would do it. He added that it’s not included in an episode of the show and pointed out that he’s recently received many requests to officiate weddings, which surprises him.
Kristen Ramos and Julian Allen got engaged during ‘Temptation Island’ final bonfire
In February 2021, high school sweethearts Ramos and Allen had dated for 11 years since the age of 15. The couple has thought about marriage, but his past infidelities have caused her not to trust him fully.
During their time on the island, the pair didn’t develop a romantic relationship with any singles as they mainly wanted to focus on growing individually.
They both realized they hadn’t adequately mourned her brother’s death, causing the pair to grow closer by the end of the experiment. After expressing their love for one another at the final bonfire, Allen proposed.
The couple has remained together, recently celebrating the first anniversary of their engagement. They have set a wedding date for July 2022.
Walberg on the ‘interesting difference’ in ‘Temptation Island’ Season 4
Speaking to TV Insider, shortly before Temptation Island Season 4 premiered, the host described the upcoming season as “a very heady, emotional ride.”
Walberg admitted the amount of emotion that comes from the men, especially early into the season, surprised him as he’s not used to seeing it in previous seasons.
He noted he typically finds “the women are a little bit more in touch” and that “it takes a little while before the guys go from like boyish, ‘Oh my god, it’s crazy and fun,’ to having some real emotions.” Walberg thinks the men’s occupations might have something to do with it, as he pointed out the guys this season are “thinkers, feelers, poets, and artists” who are typically more in touch with their feelings.
Additionally, in a series first, a single returns who previously appeared in season 2, Deac Conti, who fought for Ashley Howland’s heart. Temptation Island Season 4 airs Wednesdays on USA Network.
