Miss Countiss and Keyes to exchange wedding vows June 26 in Meridian

Mr. and Mrs. John R. Countiss IV of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Matelyn Rivers Countiss, to Richard Adam Keyes, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Earl Keyes of Ridgeland.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Joseph F. Miller Jr. of Meridian and the late Beth Burns Hudson. She is also the granddaughter of the late Honorable and Mrs. John R. Countiss III of Jackson.

The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Mary Snow Terry and the late James L. Terry of Stringer and the late Earl Rogers Keyes and the late Hallie Houston Keyes.

Miss Countiss is a 2012 graduate of Lamar School in Meridian. She attended the University of Mississippi where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta and served as an Ole Miss Diamond Girl. She was presented by the Southern Debutante Assembly in Greenwood in 2016 and was graduated from Ole Miss in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree. She is currently a freelance makeup artist in Oxford.

The prospective bridegroom is a 2009 graduate of Jackson Academy. He attended Mississippi State University where he received his bachelor’s degree in business administration in 2015. While at MSU, he was a member of Sigma Chi. He is currently associated with Ross and Yerger in Jackson.

The couple will exchange vows on June 26 at First Christian Church in Meridian with a reception to follow at Northwood Country Club.
