AUGUSTA – Richard “Rick” M. Alley, passed away on Dec. 24, 2021, due to complications from Covid-19.Rick was born in Skowhegan to Garold and Ella May Alley on Aug. 25, 1952, and graduated from Presque Isle High School. He served in Marine Corps from December 1976 until December 1980 and retired from Bath Iron Works after 35 years of employment. At his time of death he worked with Asset Management.He was such an avid hunter that in his wedding vows to Judy, 22 years ago, he said that he would be taking the month of November off for hunting. He also enjoyed bowling and at the age of 57 got his scuba diving certificate.Rick was predeceased by his parents and grandparents as well as his brother-in-law Reginald Pooler.He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Judy; two sons, Michael Lee (Angela), Tommy Digby (Jennifer) both of Augusta, and a daughter, Tracey Bernier (David) of Benton; four grandchildren, Eric, Jessica, Jacob and Branden; two great grandsons, Grayson and Mason; four sisters, Barbara Purington (Robert) of Litchfield, Phylis Pooler of Fairfield, Pearl Daigle (Ray) of Clinton, and Sharon Bowe (Art) of Norridgewock, and two Brothers, Garold Alley Jr (Ruth) of Castle Hill, and Kenneth Alley (Avelina) of California; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.A period of visitation will be held on Friday, Jan. 14, 2022, from 1-2 p.m., at Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta, Maine, where a memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Those in attendance are kindly asked to wear a mask.
