Phyllis Rosenau, 83, of Upham, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at a Minot hospital. Her funeral will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church near Upham.

Phyllis (Olson) Rosenau (83 years young) born March 17th 1939 to Selmer and Elenora Olson. Passed away at Trinity Homes, Minot, ND January 11, 2023.

Phyllis had 5 siblings; Arlyssa, Mary, Thelma, Sam, and Harley, who she was very close to. She was born in Granville ND and lived there until her family moved to Bottineau ND in 1953. She graduated the 8th grade and later married Dennis Rosenau on June 2nd 1957 in the Rural Church outside of Upham ND.

Phyllis and Dennis owned a farm outside of Upham where they farmed and ranched. They had 2 children Rick and Pam. Phyllis was creative and talented at painting pictures, and sewing. She worked as a seamstress for a company out of Newberg. She sold Avon and Home Interior. She was a member of a ladies church group. She worked with Dennis on the farm. She often ran the swather, drove the grain trucks, and always made sure everyone was fed. Phyllis loved to garden between her flowers around the house and a large vegetable garden. She cooked, baked, and canned.

Family was always important to Phyllis from raising her kids, to having grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Her and Dennis would travel to see their siblings. They never missed a family get together whether it was a birthday party, graduation, or wedding. She enjoyed gambling and shopping also.

Phyllis was a very strong, smart, supportive, and ambitious woman. Without exceptional women like her the men would have never been so successful. Phyllis will be missed by many; especially her children and grandchildren.

Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents Selmer and Elenora Olson. Mother and father in law Eric and Valeria Rosenau, husband Dennis, all of her siblings, and daughter in law Dianne Rosenau.

She is survived by children Rick (Darcey Arden), Pam (Ken) Hooker. Grandchildren Nathan Hooker, Jessica (Leon) Helland. Erick (Brooke) Rosenau, Dillon (Nikki) Rosenau, and Madelyn Rosenau. Great grandchildren: Hudson Hooker, Kade, Ryder, Absinthe, and Luci Helland. Oliver, Liam, and Mylo Rosenau. Isla Rosenau.
