Royal Wedding ceremony highlights as Princess Eugenie marries

It’s hard to believe that it’s been three years since Princess Eugenie announced we all had another royal wedding to look forward to after getting engaged to Jack Brooksbank.

Ten months after posing for their official engagement snaps, the couple tied the knot at St George’s Chapel in Windsor in front of the royal family, friends and TV crews.

It was certainly a day to remember, with a celebrity guest list, a stunning wedding dress and a decent amount of social media ban rule-breaking.

The bride and groom couldn’t have looked more in love, beaming throughout the public part of the day – but a lip reader has revealed Eugenie wasn’t entirely happy about one thing her new groom did on the day.

When they were sitting side-by-side in St George’s Chapel listening to readings, Eugenie jokingly said to her new husband: “Why aren’t you holding my hand?”

The Queen’s granddaughter took the lead and coached Jack through the day, with a lifetime of royal experience meaning she knew exactly what the crowds wanted.

The lipreader revealed that the royal bride initiated the couple’s tentative smooches outside the chapel, saying “let’s kiss” in front of the cameras.

Jack spoke openly about his nerves ahead of the wedding, telling the Daily Mail: “I’ll need to take a few minutes for myself before the speeches because I’m terrified.

“It’s very exciting but I’m a little bit nervous.”

He overcame his nerves, however, to whisper beautiful words to Princess Eugenie as she approached him at the altar.

Experts revealed he said “Oh, my heart” when he saw his bride, before adding “Oh break my heart.”

And it wan’t just Eugenie who made some interesting comments at the wedding, and the Queen left guests stunned with a hilarious joke.

Pixie Geldof, who was lucky enough to get an invite, chatted about the celebrations during a podcast with fashion designer Henry Holland, What Were You Thinking?

She said: “I didn’t meet her but she was walking around saying stuff like, ‘Well, it’s great that I have a house big enough to hold all these guests’.

“She’s full LOL. She was being funny. She was like, ‘Welcome to my home’.”

Pixie also explained that she had a rather embarrassing moment during the day, which saw her trip over in front of a group of other guests.

She said: “I fell over at one point. Stacked it, but not on to the floor.

“And not drunk – hadn’t drunk.”
