The wedding celebrations for actors Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal are scheduled to begin on September 29 in Delhi, and while the festivities will continue for another week in Mumbai, there is growing interest in the preparatory details. Just before the festivities start, reports have been doing the rounds that the future bride has prepared a pretty thoughtful and expensive buffet for the guests that is undoubtedly different from the norm.Since Richa, 35, is a Delhi native, her favourite foods from all across the city would be served during her mehendi, sangeet, and cocktail events in the Capital.“There would be the famous chole bhature from Rajouri Garden, Natraj ki chaat, Chatori Gali ka Ram ladoo and more,” a source tells Hindustan Times, adding, “All the food stalls are being curated by a company that has put together a menu of Richa’s favourite dishes from across Delhi which she enjoyed growing up and are iconic places. So each of these places are setting up a way to serve their most iconic and favourite dishes of the couple.”The two venues—for sangeet and cocktail—will be largely decorated in green and inspired by nature, owing to Richa and Ali’s love for all things environment. “There would be natural colours and the decorative elements would include a lot of jute, wood and flowers,” informs the source.
Although we can’t wait to see Richa and Ali as a married couple, we also now know that Richa will be sporting a dress by designer Rahul Mishra for her sangeet and a Kresha Bajaj ensemble for the cocktail. For the celebrations in Delhi, Ali has selected ensembles by Shantanu & Nikhil and Abu Jaani-Sandeep Khosla.
