Skyrim Player Interrupts NPC Wedding With Explosive Dive Bomb

One Skyrim player has been spotted crashing a wedding and assassinating Vittoria Vici by dive-bombing off the tallest building in Solitude.

In a new hilarious clip, one ingenious The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim player has been spotted crashing a wedding in Solitude with a dive-bomb, causing outcry and assassinating the bride on impact. The second remastered rerelease, Skyrim: Anniversary Edition, launched on the title’s tenth anniversary in November on last-gen and current-generation consoles, as well as PC. Players who already owned a copy of the Special Edition on last-generation consoles received a free current-gen upgrade on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Aside from visual and framerate improvements, new features and additions were also added, including 500 creation club elements and a new fishing mechanic.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim came out in 2011 and followed the long-running action-roleplaying series set in the high fantasy fictional universe of Tamriel. Upon release, Skyrim received critical acclaim along with awards from numerous gaming sites and publications that claimed it to be one of the greatest video games of all time. Due to its reception, Skyrim is considered Bethesda’s prized possession and has seen numerous re-releases on almost every platform in the past ten years. This includes the Nintendo Switch, VR, and Amazon’s Alexa, which was released as an audio-only joke version of the game by Bethesda to acknowledge the seemingly endless releases of Skyrim.

On Reddit, user Salmagros posted a clip of themselves crashing the wedding in the “Bound Until Death” quest in the most ridiculous way possible. The video begins with Salmagros slowly looking over Solitude on the highest building in the city. After taking a few seconds to look over, they jump off and fall into the crowd below, quickly casting an explosive spell when they hit the ground. The impact of the fall knocked back the guests and killed the bride, Vittoria Vici. “Bound Until Death” is a quest given by the Dark Brotherhood that orders players to assassinate Vittoria Vici at her wedding as part of a series of contracts designed to pave way for the assassination of the Emperor of Tamriel. While the quest appears straightforward, there are countless ways to kill the bride and escape, including this one used by Salmagros.

Dive-bombing in Skyrim is a technique used by players not only for entertainment purposes but also for the benefit of causing extreme damage to surrounding enemies. In order to pull it off, players need to acquire the Solar Flare power, which allows them to cast the fire explosion. They then must boost the power’s damage by equipping Ahzidal and drinking a potion of Fortify Destruction with Netch Jelly which causes paralysis and negates all fall damage. Dive-bombing is one of the many available Skyrim exploits players can run across or learn how to use during playthroughs.

More than a decade later, players continue to find hilarious ways to entertain themselves in Skryim due to the game’s multiple mechanics and exploits that increase its replayability. Fans who are waiting impatiently for news regarding The Elder Scrolls 6 can easily jump into the Skyrim: Anniversary Edtion and enjoy another playthrough with new features, and may even get the opportunity to try Salmagros’ dive-bomb technique to assassinate Vittoria Vici for the Dark Brotherhood.
