A florist based near Reading has been crowned the best wedding florist in the UK.
Sonning Flowers in Cottismore Park brought home the coveted Wedding Florist of the Year Award on February 23.
They fought off strong competition from the country’s best florists at The Underglobe, London.
Owner Heather Reilly said: “We are absolutely delighted and just can’t believe it.

She continued: “I personally also need to say a huge thank you to the Sonning Flowers team.
“We’ve had back-to-back weddings since Covid-19 restrictions were lifted and my small team of seven have worked incredibly hard during a wedding season like no other.
“Winning three renowned awards in the last six months is a great kick-start to 2022, and we look forward to the wonderful weddings we have coming up.
“I always knew Sonning Flowers was award winning, and this is the true recognition the team deserves.”

Feedback from voters applauded Sonning Flowers’ “flexibility”, “creativity”, “faultless communication”, “expert knowledge” and “exemplary customer service”.
One voter said: “Sonning Flowers were an absolute dream to work with on my wedding flowers.
“Although I had very clear ideas about how I wanted my flowers to look and smell, I know very little about types, availability etc but they were extremely knowledgeable about what would work best.
“When my flowers arrived on the day, they were even better than I could have imagined – they were just stunning and so many of our guests commented on how beautiful they were. I loved them so much I took them on our honeymoon.”
