Made entirely of duct tape, this masterpiece of wedding dresses has a Fiesta feel and was created by teenage Larissa Leon as part of the Duck brand “Stuckat Prom” scholarship contest.
According to the company’s website, Leon used 47 rolls of duct tape to create a fashion masterpiece over 163 hours. Earlier this week, Leon was announced as one of the two winners of the contest, according to The Duck Brand, and brought back a $ 10,000 scholarship for the “best dress.”
According to SA Current, Leon is from Houston but currently lives in Washington. But she wanted to pay homage to her culture through the creation of this dress.

“I was inspired by folklore-style dresses that came from both indigenous and Spanish customs,” Leon said in a statement. “The gown was designed to respect my culture, paying homage to my roots and helping to make a beautiful dress for the prom made of duct tape. The gown is adorned with a variety of bright colors and numerous flowers. Leon told Duck Brand that this project was not the first project to use duct tape. She has always been fascinated by the design of art projects.
“I’ve always been fascinated by design and creation since I was 5 years old. I remember spending hours creating, sketching and designing many art projects in my room. Designing things that people couldn’t believe they could have children. My mother was always amazed at my creativity and the attention to detail when I was young, “Leon said.

When she was young, she made several things from duct tape, including toys, clothing, mermaid fins, hair accessories, purses, and school backpacks. But this creation was arguably her biggest business ever.
