More than a week after her wedding to Jason Abalos, Vickie Rushton penned an appreciation post for her dear friend Francis Libiran.
The top designer made the lovely barong and gown for the husband and wife on their wedding day.
Vickie said that 10 years ago, she added Francis on Facebook.
“It was just one of my dreams to wear your creations. Little did I know I will be wearing you in my life’s most important and significant moments,” she said.
According to Vickie, these moments include her time on Binibining Pilipinas, special events, and now as a bride.
Vickie thanked the designer for being open to the couple’s ideas and incorporating them into his design.
“You made the most perfect wedding dress—my dream wedding dress. I can’t thank you enough for the dresses you made for me—not one but three!”
“Thank you also for the one-of-a-kind Barong with [Baybayin of Baba] for Jason. Thank you also for adding details to Toto Kian’s barong. Thank you po talaga,” Vickie added.
She said that Francis is not just a designer but a dear friend, who gives her guidance and advice.
“I may not say it often but you are special to me. Thank you for being a positive light in my life,” Vickie said.
“We may not see each other often but when we do, you always have the right words to make me feel at ease. I always leave the atelier with a happy heart.”
Vickie also made sure to thank the Francis Libiran team for their time and effort during fittings.
Vickie and Jason tied the knot on September 1. The long-time couple wed in a ceremony in Tagaytay.
