The Miami wedding of Nicola Peltz and Brooklyn Beckham was one of the most lavish celebrity ceremonies of the year.
Not only was the bride radiant in a Valentino haute couture gown, but the guests also dressed to impress for the occasion, including mother-of-the-groom Victoria Beckham.
The fashion designer, of course, wore one of her own creations; a liquid silver metallic gown inspired by the Studio 54 era. Now, several months later, you can shop for the gown yourself.
Beckham shared the news by captioning a video of herself wearing the design (which comes in both silver and gold) and letting shoppers know where to buy it. “I’m so excited to tell you that there is now a very limited number of my liquid metallic evening gowns in shimmering silver and gold, available exclusively online and at 36 Dover Street,” she said.
“An evolution of my signature fit slip dress and inspired by the Studio 54 era, this very special and delicate gown is inspired by the reflection of the moonlight on the ocean at night, and was developed using the finest metallic yarn from my favourite mill in Como, Italy.”
Beckham also shared a close-up showing more detail of her evening gown, which emulates “the glamour of ’40s Hollywood, but with the boldness of the ’70s club scene”. She wrote: “I love the delicate French Chantilly lace appliqué and scoop back – it’s perfect for party season.”
The designer is not wrong; her gown is the perfect investment for the upcoming party season – and one that can be worn year after year. Beckham demonstrates that while her dress is perfect for Christmas festivities, thanks to its shimmering material and scooped back, it also works just as well as a wedding-guest dress. We could also imagine wearing it on a summer holiday in the warm evenings.
The wearability of this design makes for a smart buy; it’s classic design evoking ’50s and ’70s influences means it will never date. Whenever shopping for something new, it always pays to keep this in mind to ensure you’re shopping in the greenest and smartest way possible and, in turn, building up a wardrobe you’ll love forever.
