Wanda and Bill Glaser Celebrate 60 Years of Marriage | News, Sports, Jobs

Charles William “Bill” and Wanda (nee Bogers) Glaser of Wheeling celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Jan. 19. This handsome young man and blue eyed beauty fell in love and were married on January 19, 1963 at Fourth Street Methodist Church with the late Reverend Frank L. Shaffer officiating.

Bill attended Wheeling High School and served in the United States Air Force before a career as a master welder at Tri-State Machine, where he worked until his retirement. He enjoys making and sharing his wine, gardening, frequenting local retailers, and of course, still going on dates with his beautiful wife. You may have spoken with ‘Mr. Bill’, as he always takes time to talk with everyone he meets.

Wanda attended Wheeling High School and West Liberty State College. Over her career, she worked at local businesses including Lerner Shops, Ronca’s as an accountant, and The Health Plan until her retirement. She enjoys spending time with great friends and tending to her beautiful flowers and their 100-year-old home in Wheeling, where they have lived in and cherished a lifetime of memories for 50 years.

Most of all, they take great pride in their three daughters, Lesli (Domenic) Paoletti, Heather Glaser, and Lainie Glaser, and their two grandchildren, Kahlie and Taylor Paoletti.
