WATCH: Faf de Klerk shares intimate moments of his wedding day

Springbok scrum-half Faf de Klerk married his long-time girlfriend Miné van Niekerk in October and the star rugby player has shared more pictures and behind-the-scenes look at his wedding day. 

The couple tied the knot at La Paris Estate in Franschhoek, in a ceremony attended by family, friends and fellow teammates. 

The couple is in a long-distance relationship as Faf previously played as a scrum-half for English Premiership club Sale Sharks, and then signed with Japanese club Canon Eagles in June.

Faf went down memory lane on Thursday by sharing more pictures and the wedding video of his special day with his wife, Miné.

Faf thanked the wedding organisers, for making their day special.

“Thanks for making my wedding day so beautiful and special! Beautiful Decor,” he said.

The images show intimate details of their wedding, from their food menu, customised cake from Sugar Rush, and the decor that consisted of white, gold, and white flowers.

Guests tucked into crunchy chilli prawns with avocado cucumber, seared beef fillet and a creme brulee. For those who were still hungry, midnight snacks were served which were very proudly South African – boerewors caramelised onions with feta sourdough flatbreads and beef bacon cheese sliders.

The couple is still in the honeymoon phase, as Faf marked their one month anniversary in November. 

He wrote: “Can’t believe its been a month! Off to a great start. Love you @mine_deklerk.”

His teammates Steven Kitshoff, Vincent Koch and Miné’s brothers were his groomsmen and his wedding video gives a behind-the-scenes before he said ‘I do’.

Miné looked radiant and beautiful in a Lenalisa wedding gown, with her bridesmaids dressed in elegant and simple black dresses while Faf looked dashing in a dark green three-piece suit.

The video also shows Miné walking down the aisle with her father, where they took their pictures by the lake and during their church ceremony.

The dress code for guests was black attire.
