It’s been quite a busy weekend for the Kardashian-Jenner family. Not only did they celebrate Kourtney Kardashian’s fiancé Travis Barker’s birthday on Nov. 14, but they also attended the wedding of close friends Simon Huck and Phil Riportella. And before these festivities took place, Kim Kardashian went to Paris Hilton’s wedding, and Kendall Jenner was amongst the celebrities at Lauren Perez’s wedding.
Social media personality Lauren Perez married David Waltzer on Thursday, Nov. 11, and alongside Kendall on the attendees list were Hailey Baldwin and Bella Hadid. Based on Instagram posts, the wedding looked absolutely beautiful and enjoyable for all the guests, but there was one thing that had fans raising their eyebrows.
Kendall decided to wear a very daring dress for her friend’s special day, and according to Yahoo! Life, she faced backlash online because of it. Though the 26-year-old model frequently wears barely-there looks for big events, many were shocked to see this outfit at a wedding of all places.
The dress, which you can check out below, is black and form-fitting, showing off most of her torso and chest. Posing alongside Hailey for a series of mirror selfies, Kendall looked gorgeous — but was it too risqué for the occasion?
Kendall Jenner’s cut-out dress
As reported by Yahoo! Life, one person wrote on Instagram: “I love Kendall. But, is she in love with the groom or something?” Another said: “She wore this to a friend’s wedding?! Yikes.” On top of the Instagram comments, a TikTok video criticizing Kendall’s look has gone viral.
It should be noted that Kendall was part of the wedding party and, as you can see in other photos here, she actually wore a different dress during the ceremony, matching with the other bridesmaids. This one was more covered up, and in a pretty blueish-teal color. Perhaps Kendall switched it up and put on the revealing black dress for the reception.
Kendall has not responded to all the backlash, and we honestly don’t expect her to. At the end of the day, she looked beautiful and confident in the dress and we can’t knock her for that!
