Zazzau emir sacks palace guard for gang-raping would-be bride

The Emir of Zazzau Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli has sacked a palace guard Sama’ila Abubakar Rimin Tsiwa for allegedly gang-raping a would be bride in Zaria.

This was revealed in a statement by the media officer to the palace Abdullahi Aliyu Kwarbai on Wednesday.

He said the palace guard lured the would-be bride to a remote location and gang-raped her with his friends after she approached him to take her to the emir to seek financial assistance ahead of her wedding.

The statement said, “Zazzau Emirate Council under the Emir of Zazzau, His Highness Malam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, CFR has ordered for the immediate dismissal of Sama’ila Abubakar Rimin Tsiwa (one of the palace guards, Dogari) from the services of the emirate.”

The emirate council also urged the police to expedite investigations and hasten prosecution of the culprits.
